Carol F. Kuechler, PhD. is Professor and MSW Program Director at the School of Social Work, St. Catherine University/University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota. Her social work experience includes work in public social services, program evaluation and project-based research. Having taught at both the baccalaureate and graduate level, she has specialized in teaching research, clinical supervision and program management, and group work. She was a founding member and the first Chair of the Minnesota chapter of the Association for the Advancement of Social Work with Groups and has served several terms on the international Board of Directors. An active member in the organization, she continues to serve the chapter as a mentor and facilitator of consultation groups. In addition to dozens of professional presentations and workshops, she has published in Administration in Social Work, The Clinical Supervisor, and Social Work with Groups. At St. Catherine University she has served on the Institutional Review Board, the Faculty Personnel Committee, the Educational Policies Committee and the Faculty Development Committee. She was on the leadership team for the 27 th Annual International Symposium Bridges of Hope over Troubled Waters held in Minneapolis, MN in fall 2005.
