Synnöve Karvinen-Niinikoski is Professor of Social Work at the University of Helsinki, Finland. Professor Karvinen-Niinikoski has written on critical reflection, professional supervision, leadership and professional practices in social and on international social work research and researcher education. Her research concerns also child welfare, especially the changing family contexts caused by the increasing divorcing rates here interest lies in facilitative family mediation looking for the best of children and young people. She is a member of the executive Committee of the International Association of Schools of Social Work (IASSW).
